Wood Window Blinds – New Wood Materials Meet More Needs

No doubt to some of us, there is always a sense of pride to own a beautiful piece of wood window blinds which never fail to fill the home with a sense of warm and homely class and style. They however, do not come cheap and especially with the rising cost of traditional wood materials like ash, oak or cherry so much sought after, the cost could set you back a few hundred dollars. You can imagine how much money you will need to fill your home with good real wood blinds.

Your woes have not gone unnoticed, as a lot of us too would love to have the cake and eat it as well, that is, to have beautiful shades at affordable price. Enter the faux wood window blinds which have literally changed our concept of wood quality and features. Wood materials, although made of quality oak, ash or cherry, do not take well to humidity, moisture in the environment. Faux or fake wood on the other hand which is made of composite wood and synthetic fibers, take humidity and moisture well in their stride and do not warp easily under heat either. They are hence popular for their long lasting durability, functionality and most importantly, its affordability. They can be used almost in any part of the home, in living and dinning rooms, or in high humidity areas like bathrooms, kitchen, or laundry rooms, all at a fraction of the cost of real wood.
